Tourism

Tourism is often cited as being the only industry that will grow in perpetuity and in 2006 more than 840 million tourists traveled around the world spending USD$735,000 million, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation. Vietnam is well positioned as the “next thing” to be able to attract an increasing number of international tourists. Vietnam expects to receive 4.4 million international visitors in 2007 - 800,000 or 20% more than the 2006 – and the tourism industry expects to earn $2.5-2.8 billion.
