US$25 million IT project kicks off in QTSC - February 2004

Tinhhoa Advanced Technology Corp yesterday started work on a four story building in Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) as part of its US$25 million information technology (IT) project. Vu Luong, general director of the HCMC based company, said US$3 million would be spent on the building with total floor space of 12,000 square meters and the remain\-ing US$22 million on software, computer and cell phone pro\-duction. "We will use part of the building for our operations and lease the rest to IT com\-panies," he told the Daily, adding monthly rent would be US$7-8 per square meter and that a 10% discount would be offered to those registering for office space now. The building comprising 80, 120,160 and 200 sq.m offices, which will be equipped with broadband Internet lines, can house 800 people at a time. Its rooftop will have space able to accommodate two res\-cue helicopters. Tinhoa is also involved in a US$200 million joint venture with Australia's Safekeeping Investment Trust Group. SGT
